CompositionBetagel G Cream is used to treat inflamed skin conditions that also have a bacterial infection, such as infected eczema, dermatitis or psoriasis, easing redness, itching, swelling, weeping and crusting.
It contains betamethasone, a potent corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, and gentamicin, an antibiotic that clears the bacterial infection.
Apply a thin layer only to the affected area as prescribed, usually twice a day, and wash your hands afterwards.
Because it contains a potent steroid, use it only for the short period prescribed, as prolonged use can thin the skin. Do not use it on the face, groin or underarms unless told to, or on open wounds.
