Bell Fluconazole Eye/ear Drops 5ml

Bell Fluconazole Eye/ear Drops 5ml is used for:

• Treatment of fungal eye infections, such as suspected or confirmed superficial fungal infections of the eye
• Management of fungal ear infections (otomycosis)
• Control of fungal growth in susceptible ocular and otic conditions

• Wash your hands thoroughly before using the drops.
• Tilt the head back for eye use or to the side for ear use as advised.
• Instil the prescribed number of drops into the affected eye or ear.
• Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface to prevent contamination.
• Keep the eye closed for a few seconds after instillation or remain lying sideways for ear use.
• Use the medicine for the full prescribed duration even if symptoms improve earlier.
• Do not use in the ear if there is a suspected or confirmed perforated eardrum unless directed by a doctor.

Bell Fluconazole Eye/ear Drops 5ml contains the following active components:

• Fluconazole (0.3%): Fluconazole is a triazole antifungal agent that works by inhibiting fungal cytochrome P450–dependent enzymes involved in ergosterol synthesis. Ergosterol is an essential component of the fungal cell membrane, and its depletion disrupts membrane formation and inhibits fungal growth.
• Benzalkonium Chloride (0.02%): Benzalkonium chloride is a quaternary ammonium compound used as a preservative. It possesses antimicrobial properties that help prevent contamination of the solution during use, but may cause irritation or ocular surface toxicity with prolonged or frequent use.

• Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place.
• Protect from direct sunlight.
• Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.
• Do not touch the dropper tip.
• Keep out of reach and sight of children.
• Do not use beyond the expiry date.

• Maintain proper eye and ear hygiene.
• Avoid sharing towels, earphones, or eye cosmetics.
• Avoid swimming in contaminated water during treatment.
• Do not use contact lenses during an active eye infection unless advised.
