Aziderm 10% Gel 15gm is a medicine applied to the skin, used to treat inflammatory skin conditions, particularly mild to moderate rosacea with inflamed spots (papules and pustules). It is a single-ingredient medicine containing azelaic acid, and belongs to a class of medicines called dicarboxylic acids.
This medicine works by calming inflammation in the skin and reducing the spots and redness caused by rosacea, which also helps improve skin texture. Wash and dry the affected skin, apply a thin layer and massage it in gently until absorbed, as directed by your doctor, and wash your hands afterwards unless your hands are the treated area.
Improvement is gradual, so keep using the gel for the full duration your doctor prescribes. Using gentle, fragrance-free skin care and sun protection may help keep rosacea flare-ups under control.
Before using this medicine, tell your doctor about any other skin conditions or treatments you are using. Keep the gel away from your eyes, mouth and broken skin, and speak to your doctor if you develop severe skin irritation.
