Axymox 250 Mg Tablet Dt 10 is used to treat bacterial infections of the lungs, throat, skin, and urinary tract. It also forms part of combination treatment to clear Helicobacter pylori bacteria in people with peptic ulcers.
It contains amoxicillin, a penicillin-type antibiotic that stops bacteria from forming their protective cell wall. The dispersible tablet can be dissolved in a small amount of water, making it easier to take, especially for children or people who have difficulty swallowing whole tablets. Take it as prescribed and complete the full course, even if you start to feel better, to help stop the infection returning.
Taking this medicine with food may help reduce stomach upset. Staying well hydrated can also support your recovery while you are unwell.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any history of allergies, particularly to penicillin-type antibiotics, kidney problems, or are taking other medicines. Seek medical attention immediately if you develop a skin rash, swelling, or breathing difficulty after taking a dose, as these may indicate an allergic reaction.
