Apresias 30 Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Treatment of active psoriatic arthritis in adults

• Management of moderate to severe plaque psoriasis

• Relief of oral ulcers in Behçet's disease

• Alternative therapy when conventional treatments have failed

• Treatment for inflammatory conditions affecting joints and skin

• Management of chronic inflammatory disorders

• Therapy for patients who cannot tolerate other systemic medicines or when phototherapy has proven ineffective

Follow these instructions while taking Apresias 30 Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• Consult your doctor if you have any questions about using this medicine.

Apresias 30 Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Apresias 30 Tablet 10 contains apremilast (30 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Inhibits PDE4 enzyme: Apremilast blocks an enzyme called phosphodiesterase-4 (PDE4), which normally breaks down a substance called cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) in inflammatory cells.

• Increases cAMP levels: By preventing the breakdown of cAMP, this medicine increases its concentration within cells, which helps control inflammation.

• Reduces pro-inflammatory substances: Apremilast decreases the production of substances that promote inflammation, such as tumour necrosis factor-alpha, interleukin-23, and interleukin-17.

• Increases anti-inflammatory mediators: This medicine helps boost levels of interleukin-10, which works to reduce inflammation in the body.

• Store Apresias 30 Tablet 10 below 30°C in its original packaging.

• Keep away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Store in a secure place, out of reach of children and pets.

• Check the expiry date before use, and do not take expired medicine.

• Dispose of unused tablets according to local waste guidelines.

• For psoriasis management: Include anti-inflammatory foods in your diet, such as fatty fish (salmon, mackerel), olive oil, and colourful fruits and vegetables, which may help reduce skin inflammation.

• For psoriatic arthritis: Maintain a healthy weight through balanced nutrition and regular gentle exercise like swimming or walking, as excess weight puts additional pressure on affected joints.
