ANGIDINE 20 MG TABLET 10 is used to treat stable angina, the chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart. It is used in ischaemic heart disease and, alongside other heart medicines, helps prevent recurring angina episodes.

ANGIDINE 20 MG TABLET 10 contains trimetazidine (20 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Metabolic Shift: Trimetazidine selectively inhibits the mitochondrial long-chain 3-ketoacyl coenzyme A thiolase enzyme, which is involved in fatty acid breakdown.

• Enhances Glucose Oxidation: By partially inhibiting fatty acid oxidation, it promotes glucose oxidation, which requires less oxygen to produce the same amount of energy in heart cells.
