Amlong A-25 Tablet is used for the following:

• Management of hypertension or high blood pressure

• Controlling angina pectoris, which is chest pain often caused by heart disease

• Lowering the risk of fatal and non-fatal cardiovascular events such as strokes and heart attacks

• Use in combination with other antihypertensive agents for more comprehensive blood pressure control

• Helping in the immediate aftermath of a myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack

To use Amlong A-25 Tablet correctly and safely, follow these instructions:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not chew or crush the tablet.

• This medicine can be taken with or without food.

• Do not exceed the prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.

• Do not abruptly stop taking this medication without speaking to your doctor first.

Amlong A-25 Tablet is taken orally.

Amlong A-25 Tablet combines two active ingredients:

• Amlodipine (5 mg): This component is known as a calcium channel blocker. It works by inhibiting the movement of calcium ions into vascular smooth muscle and cardiac muscle cells. As a result, it causes these muscles to relax, leading to wider blood vessels (vasodilation) and a reduction in blood pressure.

• Atenolol (25 mg): Classified as a selective beta-1 receptor blocker, atenolol works by competitively blocking beta-1 receptors in your heart. By doing so, it slows down your heart rate and reduces blood pressure, both at rest and during physical activity.

Together, these two components work in harmony to manage high blood pressure and angina effectively.

• Store Amlong A-25 Tablet in a cool, dry location at room temperature not more than 30°C.

• Keep the medicine away from excessive light and moisture.

• Always ensure that it is out of the reach of children.
