Amlong A-25 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure and prevent chest pain (angina) in adults. By combining a calcium channel blocker with a cardioselective beta-blocker, it acts through two complementary pathways to lower blood pressure and reduce the heart's demand for oxygen.
It contains amlodipine 5mg and atenolol 25mg. Take it as prescribed at the same time each day. Do not stop it suddenly, as the atenolol component must be reduced gradually under medical guidance; abrupt withdrawal can cause rebound effects on blood pressure or worsening of heart symptoms.
A low-salt diet, staying active within your limits, stopping smoking, limiting alcohol, and maintaining a healthy weight all support cardiovascular management alongside this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any breathing problems (asthma), a very slow heart rate, significant heart failure, or kidney disease. Atenolol can mask symptoms of low blood sugar in diabetic patients. Speak to your doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
