Amlo 5 Tablet 15

Amlo 5 Tablet is used in adults to control high blood pressure and reduce episodes of chest pain by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow to the heart.

Uses of Amlo 5 Tablet are:

• High Blood Pressure: Lowers raised blood pressure and helps reduce the long-term risk of stroke, heart attack and kidney problems.
• Chronic Stable Angina: Improves blood flow to the heart muscle and reduces the frequency of chest pain episodes.

Please follow these instructions while taking Amlo-5 Tablet:

• Follow the dosage and timing instructions provided by your doctor precisely.

• Do not change or exceed the prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.

• Consult your doctor before discontinuing the medication; do not stop taking it without their guidance.

• Adhere to the dietary recommendations given by your doctor.

Amlo-5 Tablet is taken orally.

Amlo-5 Tablet contains amlodipine (5 mg), which acts on the body in the following ways:

• Blood Vessel Relaxation: Amlodipine inhibits the flow of calcium ions into vascular smooth muscle and cardiac muscle cells. By reducing calcium influx, it relaxes the blood vessels and decreases peripheral vascular resistance and blood pressure.

• Workload Reduction on Heart: The relaxation of blood vessels means that the heart doesn't have to work as hard to pump blood throughout the body. This makes amlodipine an effective option for managing chest pain associated with angina.

• Store the Amlo-5 Tablet in a tightly sealed container.

• Keep it at room temperature, ideally between 15-30°C.

• Since Amlo-5 Tablet is used to manage hypertension, reducing your salt intake can be beneficial. Excess salt can increase blood pressure, so try to limit your consumption.
