Amlo 5 Tablet 15

Amlo-5 Tablet is used to relieve symptoms of hypertension and chronic stable angina . By relaxing blood vessels, it improves blood flow and reduces the heart’s workload, helping to control blood pressure and reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications.

Please follow these instructions while taking Amlo-5 Tablet:

• Follow the dosage and timing instructions provided by your doctor precisely.

• Do not change or exceed the prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.

• Consult your doctor before discontinuing the medication; do not stop taking it without their guidance.

• Adhere to the dietary recommendations given by your doctor.

Amlo-5 Tablet is taken orally.

Amlo-5 Tablet contains amlodipine (5 mg), which acts on the body in the following ways:

• Blood Vessel Relaxation: Amlodipine inhibits the flow of calcium ions into vascular smooth muscle and cardiac muscle cells. By reducing calcium influx, it relaxes the blood vessels and decreases peripheral vascular resistance and blood pressure.

• Workload Reduction on Heart: The relaxation of blood vessels means that the heart doesn't have to work as hard to pump blood throughout the body. This makes amlodipine an effective option for managing chest pain associated with angina.

• Store the Amlo-5 Tablet in a tightly sealed container.

• Keep it at room temperature, ideally between 15-30°C.

• Avoid exposure to light and moisture.

• Ensure it's stored where children can't get to it.

• Use the medicine before the expiry date stated on the packaging.

• Since Amlo-5 Tablet is used to manage hypertension, reducing your salt intake can be beneficial. Excess salt can increase blood pressure, so try to limit your consumption.

• Regular physical activity like walking or cycling can help lower high blood pressure. Try to incorporate at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise into your daily routine, but always consult with your doctor before starting any new exercise regime.
