Bifilac HP Capsule is used to help restore and maintain a healthy balance of good bacteria in the gut, particularly during or after diarrhoea. It is a combination probiotic supplement containing four types of beneficial bacteria: Streptococcus faecalis, Clostridium butyricum, Bacillus mesentericus and lactic acid bacillus.

This medicine is also used to help manage diarrhoea caused by antibiotics and other sudden (acute) diarrhoea, where the natural gut bacteria have been disturbed. Probiotics are live microorganisms that can offer a health benefit when taken in the right amounts. Take it in the dose and for the duration advised by your doctor. If you are also taking an antibiotic, ask your doctor how far apart to take the two.

Drinking plenty of fluids and oral rehydration solution (ORS) during diarrhoea helps prevent dehydration. Eating light, easily digested food, including curd (yoghurt), may also support gut health.
