• Cefpodoxime Proxetil (50 mg): This is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that battles bacteria by inhibiting their cell wall synthesis. It does this by binding to certain proteins within bacteria known as penicillin-binding proteins, disrupting their cell wall formation process. As a result, these bacterial cells become weak and ultimately lyse or break apart.

• Clavulanic Acid (31.25 mg): Clavulanic acid is the enzyme produced by certain bacteria that can break down and inactivate antibiotics such as penicillins and cephalosporins. Clavulanic acid blocks the action of these beta-lactamase enzymes, thus preventing them from inactivating the antibiotic.
