Acebit H 50/12.5 MG Tablet 10 is a medicine used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults. It also helps lower the risk of stroke in people with an enlarged heart muscle (left ventricular hypertrophy) and helps protect the kidneys in people with high blood pressure and diabetes.
It contains losartan and hydrochlorothiazide, which belong to groups of medicines called angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs) and diuretics. It relax the blood vessels and help the body remove excess salt and water. It is usually taken at the same time each day. Continue taking it even if you feel well, and do not stop it without medical advice.
Healthy lifestyle changes support blood pressure control alongside this medicine. These include reducing salt in your diet, staying physically active, maintaining a healthy weight, and limiting alcohol.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any kidney or liver problems, gout, or other medicines you take, and whether you are pregnant or planning pregnancy, as it is not suitable in pregnancy. Because it contains a water tablet (diuretic), your doctor may check your blood salts and kidney function from time to time.
