Caution should be taken in cases of specific medications such as barbiturates like phenobarbital and methohexital; benzodiazepines like alprazolam and diazepam; and sedatives like zolpidem and eszopiclone.
• Cytochrome P-450 CYP2C8 substrates: Montelukast, another ingredient of Aarkast Lc 5/10 MG Tablet 10, may interact with the medicines metabolised by this enzyme. Examples include warfarin, rosiglitazone, and repaglinide.

• Severe kidney impairment: Levocetirizine is excreted by the kidneys. In patients with severe kidney impairment, the clearance of levocetirizine is decreased, leading to its accumulation.
• Severe liver impairment: Montelukast is extensively metabolised in the liver. In patients with severe liver impairment, caution is advised due to potential alterations in its metabolism.
• Neuropsychiatric disorders: Montelukast has been associated with neuropsychiatric events. Patients with a history of such events should exercise caution when using this medication.
