Softee Cream 20gm

Softee Cream 20gm is specifically used to treat anal fissures, helping relieve pain and promote healing in the affected area.

• Wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying the cream. If treating the affected area, avoid washing it immediately after use to allow the medication to take effect.
• Cleanse the affected area before applying the cream, ensuring it is dry for optimal absorption.
• Apply a layer of the cream to the affected skin and gently rub it in, ensuring even coverage for effective treatment.

Softee Cream 20gm is for external use only, so apply it to the affected area as directed.

Softee Cream 20gm contains the following ingredients:

• Lidocaine (4% w/w): Lidocaine acts as an anaesthetic by stabilising the neuronal membrane and inhibiting the ionic fluxes vital for the initiation and conduction of impulses, thereby producing a local anaesthetic effect.
• Metronidazole (1% w/w): Metronidazole, classified as a nitroimidazole, demonstrates antibacterial effects in anaerobic conditions against a broad spectrum of obligate anaerobes. 
• Sucralfate (7% w/w): Sucralfate is a protectant that functions by creating a protective layer, enhancing bicarbonate production, displaying anti-peptic effects, and fostering tissue growth, regeneration, and repair.

The storage instructions for Softee Cream 20gm are as follows:

• Softee Cream 20gm should be stored at room temperature, at 25°C.
• Keep away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• To avoid constipation, ensure adequate fluid intake. Incorporate fibre supplements and fibre-rich foods like raw fruits and vegetables into your diet. 
• Consider taking sitz baths to relax anal muscles, enhance blood flow to the anorectal region, and alleviate irritation. 
• Refrain from straining during bowel movements to prevent pressure that could reopen a healing tear or cause a new one.
