LULICONAZ LOTION 15ML contains luliconazole (1%), which works in your body through several mechanisms:

• Inhibits ergosterol synthesis: Luliconazole obstructs the creation of ergosterol, a vital component in the cell membranes of fungi. It does this by selectively blocking the action of a specific enzyme in fungal cells - the cytochrome P450 14α-demethylase.
• Alters lipid synthesis: Besides inhibiting ergosterol synthesis, luliconazole also tweaks the production of triglycerides and phospholipids within fungal cells. This leads to an accumulation of toxic hydrogen peroxide, which further disrupts fungal cell function.
• Disrupts mycelium formation: The imidazole part of luliconazole helps break up the formation of fungal mycelium – a mass of branching filaments that form part of a fungus – thereby amplifying its antifungal effect.
