Lactodex LBW Powder is used for meeting the special nutritional needs of preterm and low birth weight babies. With proteins, vitamins, minerals, DHA, ARA, calcium, and vitamin D, it supports brain development, bone health, and early growth, while being easy to digest.

• Maltodextrin: Maltodextrin is a polysaccharide commonly used in infant formulas as a carbohydrate source. It is derived from starch, typically corn or wheat, and is easily digestible. Maltodextrin provides rapid energy due to its ability to be broken down into glucose, supporting the energy requirements of low birth weight (LBW) infants, whose caloric demands are higher than full-term babies. 
   
• Milk Solids: Milk solids refer to the dried residue left when all the water has been removed from liquid milk. They contain proteins, carbohydrates (like lactose), minerals, and fats. In infant formula, milk solids are an essential component that provides protein for tissue growth and repair, calcium for bone development, and other important nutrients that mimic the composition of breast milk.

• Wash your hands thoroughly before making the formula.
• Sterilise the feeding bowl, spoon, and water measuring cup by boiling them in water for 10 minutes.
• Boil drinking water for 5 minutes, then let it cool down until it's lukewarm.
• Using the measuring cup, pour the correct amount of lukewarm water into the feeding bowl according to the feeding guide.
• For up to 2 to 3 days, child, use two scoops of powder in 60 ml water.
• For the 4 to 5 days child, use three scoops of powder in 90 ml water.
• For the 6th to 7th days child, use four scoops of powder in 120 ml water. 
• For the 8+ day child, use five scoops of powder in 150 ml water. 
• For up to 1000g to 1200g children, use one level of scoop in 30 ml water. Feed 5-6 times a day.
• For up to 1400g to 1600g children, use one level of scoop in 30 ml water. Feed 7-8 times a day.
• For up to 1600g to 2000g children, use two levels of scoop in 60 ml water. Feed 4-5 times a day.
• For up to 2000g to 2400g children, use two levels of scoop in 60 ml water. Feed 5-6 times a day.
• Use the scoop provided in the pack, level it off, and add it to the bowl. Stir until the powder is completely dissolved.
• Feed your baby using a bowl and spoon. Throw away any leftover formula after feeding.

• Infant food should be used only on the advice of a healthcare worker as to the need for its use and the proper method of its use.
• After opening the pack, the contents should immediately be transferred to an empty, clean and dry airtight container.
• Replace the lid tightly after every use and store it in a cool, dry place.
• Ensure the enclosed scoop is thoroughly washed and dried before use.

• Do not use fewer scoops than directed since diluted feeding will not provide adequate nutrients needed by your infant.
