CompositionZAXAGLIT 2.5 TABLET 10 is used to help control blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes when diet and exercise alone are not enough. It can be used on its own or alongside other diabetes medicines.
It contains saxagliptin (2.5 mg), a DPP-4 inhibitor that helps the body release more insulin after meals and reduces the glucose made by the liver. Take it as prescribed, with or without food.

Tell your doctor about any kidney, liver or heart failure problems or history of pancreatitis before starting, and about other medicines you take. Report severe or persistent stomach pain (which may be a sign of pancreatitis), or signs of an allergic reaction such as rash or swelling of the face or throat.
