Urisol O Tablet 15

Urisol O Tablet 15 is used for the following:

• Managing symptoms of urinary tract infections (UTIs) such as a burning sensation during urination.
• Reducing frequent urges to urinate, a common symptom of UTIs.
• Alleviating difficulty in controlling urine flow.
• Easing discomfort or pressure in the lower abdomen related to UTIs.
• Helping prevent recurrent UTIs in certain cases.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Avoid crushing, chewing, or splitting it.
• Try to take doses at evenly spaced intervals, which should be approximately 12 hours apart.
• Make sure to complete the full course of treatment, even if your symptoms improve before the end of the course.
• If there's no improvement within 2-3 days, it's important to let your doctor know.

Urisol O Tablet 15 is taken orally.

Urisol O Tablet 15 contains two active ingredients that work together:

• Flavoxate (200 mg): This antispasmodic medication relaxes the smooth muscles of the bladder and urinary tract. It does this by blocking acetylcholine, a chemical in your body, which reduces involuntary bladder contractions. This process helps improve bladder capacity, decreases urinary frequency and urgency, and lessens discomfort.
• Ofloxacin (200 mg): This antibiotic stops the growth of bacteria causing UTIs. It works by inhibiting enzymes in the bacteria that are essential for DNA replication and cell division. This process effectively kills off the bacteria causing the infection.

• Always store Urisol O Tablet 15 in a cool, dry place, below 30°C.
• Keep the medicine in its original packaging to protect it from direct sunlight and moisture.
• Securely close the lid after use and keep it out of reach of children.
• Remember to check the expiry date before use and never take any tablet past its expiry date.

• To support the management of urinary tract infections (UTIs), drink plenty of water. This can help flush bacteria out of your system and decrease the chance of recurrent UTIs.
• Consider including cranberry juice or cranberry products in your diet. These are known to potentially help prevent UTIs. However, always consult your doctor before making significant dietary changes.
