It contains a psoralen, a medicine that makes the skin more responsive to UV light. It works by sensitising the skin so that controlled UV exposure can even out pigment or calm psoriasis.
Take it exactly as prescribed, a set time before your UV treatment, and follow the schedule closely.
Because it makes the skin and eyes very sensitive to light, you must avoid extra sun and wear UV-protective sunglasses for the rest of the day after each dose. Report severe redness, blistering or eye discomfort.
