Neosoralen Forte Tablet 10

Neosoralen Forte Tablet 10 may interact with the following medications, including

• Antidiabetic medicines: The efficacy of antidiabetic medication like acetohexamide may be reduced when used along with this medication.
• Central nervous system (CNS) stimulants: CNS stimulants like dexmethylphenidate may increase the serum concentration of this medication.
• Tetracycline antibiotics: Antibiotics like doxycycline can increase the efficacy of this tablet.

• Foods rich in furanocoumarins: Avoid foods rich in furanocoumarins while taking trioxsalen, as they can increase your skin's sensitivity to sunlight. Examples of such foods include limes, figs, parsley, parsnips, mustard, carrots, and celery.

Neosoralen Forte Tablet 10 can interact with conditions/diseases, including

• Kidney Impairment: Not recommended for individuals with kidney disease as  trioxsalen is primarily excreted through the kidneys.
• Severe Liver Dysfunction: Should be avoided in severe liver disease as it may worsen the condition.
• Photosensitivity Disorders: Trioxsalen increases skin sensitivity to UV light. In patients with conditions like lupus erythematosus or porphyria, it can worsen photosensitivity and trigger flares or skin damage.
• Skin Cancer or History of Skin Cancer: Trioxsalen, when used with UVA exposure, may raise the risk of developing skin cancer. It should be used with caution in individuals with a history of skin malignancies.
• Ocular Disorders (e.g., Cataracts): Trioxsalen may contribute to lens damage when combined with UVA exposure. Eye protection is essential, especially in those with existing or prior eye conditions.

The daily dose of Neosoralen Forte Tablet 10 is taken as the doctor prescribes. Your doctor will decide the dosage and timing based on age, severity of the condition and overall health. 

If an overdose of Neosoralen Forte Tablet 10 happens, seek medical attention immediately and follow the instructions accordingly.

If you miss a dose of Neosoralen Forte Tablet 10, take it as soon as you remember. However, avoid repeating the dose.
