Tormina 20/500 Mg Tablet 10 is used to relieve spasmodic pain and cramps caused by conditions such as intestinal colic, renal colic, biliary colic and painful periods (dysmenorrhoea). It is a combination medicine containing dicyclomine (an antispasmodic that relaxes smooth muscle) and paracetamol (a pain reliever), and belongs to classes of medicines called antispasmodics and analgesics.
This medicine works by relaxing the smooth muscles of the gut, bile ducts and urinary tract while paracetamol eases pain, which together reduce cramping and discomfort. Take it exactly as prescribed by your doctor, with food if advised to reduce the chance of stomach upset.
Staying well hydrated and eating smaller, lighter meals can help ease abdominal cramping alongside this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have glaucoma, urinary retention, liver or kidney problems, or are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not take other paracetamol-containing products at the same time.
