• Tilt your head back, and gently pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pouch.

• Carefully instil the prescribed number of drops into this pouch.

• Close your eyes gently for about 1-2 minutes after instilling the drops.

• Apply gentle pressure to the inner corner of your closed eye. This helps in minimising systemic absorption of the medicine.

• If you are using another eye medication, wait for at least 5 minutes before putting the other eye drops.

• Atropine (1%): A competitive antagonist of muscarinic acetylcholine receptors, atropine blocks the action of acetylcholine on certain muscles in your eye.
