Sucralcoat Ano Cream 20Gm

Sucralcoat Ano Cream 20gm is used to:

• Relieve pain and burning in superficial wounds or skin irritation
• Support healing of anal fissures and painful anorectal conditions
• Protect damaged skin or mucosal surfaces while healing occurs
• Reduce discomfort in inflamed or irritated skin areas
   

Follow these instructions while using Sucralcoat Ano Cream 20gm:

• Apply the cream exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
• Clean and gently dry the affected area before application.
• Apply a thin layer over the affected area using clean hands or an applicator if advised.
• Wash your hands before and after application.
• Avoid excessive or repeated application without medical advice.
• If used for anorectal conditions, apply after bowel movements and gentle cleaning of the area, if advised.

Sucralcoat Ano Cream 20gm is applied topically.

Sucralcoat Ano Cream 20gm contains the following components:

• Lidocaine / Lignocaine (4%): This is an amide-type local anaesthetic that produces pain relief by blocking voltage-gated sodium channels in neuronal cell membranes at the site of application. Normally, sodium influx through these channels allows the generation and conduction of nerve impulses responsible for pain sensation. By stabilising the neuronal membrane and preventing sodium entry, lidocaine inhibits the initiation and transmission of nerve impulses, resulting in temporary loss of pain sensation in the treated area.
• Sucralfate (7%): This acts as a protective agent that forms a soothing barrier over damaged skin or mucosal surfaces. It helps protect the affected area from further irritation, supports healing, and promotes recovery of superficial wounds, fissures, and inflamed tissues.

• Store Sucralcoat Ano Cream 20gm below 30°C.
• Keep away from direct sunlight and heat.
• Store in a dry place.
• Keep out of reach of children.

• Maintain good hygiene and keep affected areas clean and dry.
• Drink adequate fluids and consume fibre-rich foods if treatment involves anorectal conditions.
• Avoid activities that may irritate injured skin areas.
• Wear loose, breathable clothing if skin irritation is present.
• Follow balanced nutrition to support tissue healing.
