Tolkem D Tablet 10

Tolkem D Tablet is used to treat pain and muscle spasms associated with conditions such as back pain, neck pain, sprains, and arthritis. By combining anti-inflammatory and muscle-relaxing effects, it helps improve movement and reduce discomfort. This medication is effective in managing acute musculoskeletal conditions, providing faster relief and enhancing mobility.

Follow these instructions while taking Tolkem D Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• The medicine should preferably be taken during or after meals to minimise gastric irritation.

• Do not take more than the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

Tolkem D Tablet is taken orally.

Tolkem D Tablet is composed of two active ingredients:

• Diclofenac (50 mg): This NSAID works by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are chemicals within your body that cause inflammation, pain and fever. By reducing prostaglandin synthesis, diclofenac effectively decreases both pain and swelling.

• Tolperisone (150 mg): Tolperisone acts on your central nervous system, specifically targeting areas like the spinal cord and brain stem. It reduces muscle spasms and stiffness by influencing calcium and sodium channels involved in nerve signalling to muscles. Additionally, tolperisone has a vasodilatory effect which means it widens blood vessels thereby improving blood flow to skeletal muscles.

• Store Tolkem D Tablet in a cool, dry place, ideally below 25°C.

• Keep the medicine away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Always store it out of reach of children.

• Ensure you use this medicine before its expiry date.

• Regular physical activity can help manage musculoskeletal pain and spasms. Aim for light exercises like walking or swimming, as recommended by your doctor.

• A diet rich in calcium and vitamin D can be beneficial if you're dealing with osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis. Include dairy products, green leafy vegetables, and fish in your meals.
