THP 2 mg Tablet is used to manage symptoms of Parkinson's disease such as tremors, muscle stiffness and rigidity. It is also used to reduce movement-related side effects caused by certain psychiatric medicines such as antipsychotics.
It contains trihexyphenidyl, an anticholinergic medicine. Take it as prescribed, usually with or after food to reduce nausea. The dose is often adjusted gradually under medical guidance, and it should not be stopped suddenly without your doctor's advice.
Staying as active as possible within safe limits, together with physiotherapy and occupational therapy, supports function alongside this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any glaucoma, enlarged prostate, difficulty passing urine, severe constipation, or a history of confusion or dementia. Report confusion, unusual memory changes, or trouble passing urine.
