Thalix-50 Capsule is used to treat multiple myeloma as part of combination therapy and to manage erythema nodosum leprosum. It modulates the immune system and may help reduce the formation of new blood vessels that support tumour growth.
It contains thalidomide 50 mg. Take it as prescribed, usually at bedtime to reduce daytime drowsiness. Do not share this medicine; it must only be used by the person for whom it is prescribed.
Regular blood tests to monitor blood cell counts and signs of blood clots are an important part of treatment. Report any numbness, tingling, or pain in the hands and feet promptly.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any history of blood clots, nerve damage, or other medicines. This medicine causes serious birth defects. Women must use two highly effective forms of contraception and have regular negative pregnancy tests throughout treatment and for at least four weeks after stopping. Men must use barrier contraception during treatment and for at least one week after stopping. This medicine must not be used during pregnancy. Tell your doctor immediately about any new numbness, tingling, or pain in the hands or feet.
