Telmistrum Mt Am50 Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Managing high blood pressure

• Preventing angina attacks and improving exercise tolerance

• Reducing cardiovascular risk in patients with heart disease or post-heart attack

• Supporting kidney protection in diabetic patients with hypertension

• Managing coronary artery disease and heart failure

Follow these instructions while taking Telmistrum Mt Am50 Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, break, or chew the tablet, as this affects the extended-release mechanism.

• Take the medicine at the same time each day, preferably in the morning.

• You can take this medicine with or without food, though taking it with food may reduce stomach upset.

• Drink plenty of water throughout the day while on this medicine.

• Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor.

Telmistrum Mt Am50 Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Telmistrum Mt Am50 Tablet 10 contains three active ingredients that work together to manage high blood pressure:

• Metoprolol succinate (50 mg): This is a selective beta-1 receptor blocker that works on heart receptors. It reduces your heart rate and the force of heart contractions by preventing certain hormones called catecholamines from binding to your heart.

• Amlodipine (5 mg): This calcium channel blocker prevents calcium from entering the muscle cells of your blood vessels. By blocking calcium entry, it causes your arteries to relax and widen (vasodilation), which reduces resistance to blood flow and improves coronary blood circulation.

• Telmisartan (40 mg): As an angiotensin II receptor blocker, it prevents the hormone angiotensin II from constricting your blood vessels. This action results in blood vessel relaxation, reduced sodium retention, and decreased blood volume, all of which contribute to lower blood pressure.

• Store Telmistrum Mt Am50 Tablet 10 at room temperature below 30°C.

• Keep in the original container with the lid tightly closed.

• Protect from moisture, direct light, and high humidity.

• Store away from bathroom cabinets where humidity levels are high.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Reduce your salt intake to help manage high blood pressure (hypertension). Aim for less than 5 g of salt daily by avoiding processed foods and not adding extra salt to meals.

• Engage in regular moderate aerobic exercise like brisk walking for 30 minutes most days of the week, which helps lower blood pressure and improve heart health.
