Telmistrum Biso 40-2.5 Tablet 10 is used to manage high blood pressure in adults. It is a combination medicine containing bisoprolol (a beta-blocker) and telmisartan (an angiotensin II receptor blocker).
It also helps lower the long-term risk of heart attack and stroke. Take it regularly in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor, even when you feel well. Do not stop it suddenly, as the beta-blocker component may need to be reduced gradually.
Cut down on salt, especially pickles, papad and packaged snacks, stay physically active, maintain a healthy weight, limit alcohol.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have asthma or breathing problems, a very slow heart rate or severe circulation problems, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Tell your doctor if you have diabetes, as this medicine can mask low blood sugar symptoms. Ask your doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
