CompositionTamodex 20 Tablet is used to manage breast cancer in adults, including cancer that has spread to other parts of the body, and to help reduce the risk of breast cancer returning after surgery, radiation or chemotherapy.
It contains tamoxifen, a nonsteroidal antioestrogen. Take it as prescribed, at the same time each day. This is typically a long-term treatment, often continuing for several years, so continue taking it for the full duration your doctor recommends, even if you feel well.
Attending all scheduled check-ups, including eye and gynaecological reviews, and telling your doctor promptly about any leg swelling, pain or unusual vaginal bleeding support safe long-term use of this medicine.
Tell your doctor if you have a history of blood clots, are pregnant, or are taking other hormone medicines before starting. Report leg swelling or pain, sudden breathlessness or chest pain, unusual vaginal bleeding, or vision changes immediately, as these may indicate a serious problem.
