Tamodex 20 Tablet is beneficial for the following:

• Managing metastasized breast cancer: This medicine helps manage a form of breast cancer that has spread to other body parts.

• Aid in early stage breast cancer management: It's used after surgery, radiation or chemotherapy to help manage early stage breast cancer in women.

• Preventing invasive breast cancer in high-risk individuals: This includes women with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) who have undergone surgery and radiation, as well as those at high risk due to age, personal medical history and family history.

Here's how you should take Tamodex 20 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew it.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Always stick to the recommended dosage. Consult your doctor if you feel the need to adjust your dose.

• Do not abruptly stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Tamodex 20 Tablet is taken orally.

Tamodex 20 Tablet contains tamoxifen (20 mg), which works on your body as follows:

• Blocking Oestrogen Effects: Tamoxifen functions by blocking the effects of the hormone oestrogen in breast tissue.

• Curbing Cancer Growth: Many breast cancers rely on oestrogen to grow. By stopping oestrogen from stimulating the cancer cells, tamoxifen helps manage the growth of oestrogen receptor-positive breast tumours.

• Store Tamodex 20 Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Keep the medicine away from light and moisture to maintain its effectiveness.

• Always keep the medicine in a tightly closed container.

• Make sure this medicine is out of reach of children.

• Check the expiry date on the package and do not use it past that date.

• If you have breast cancer and are taking Tamodex 20 Tablet, maintaining a healthy weight can help manage your condition. Try to incorporate regular physical activity into your routine and aim for a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains.

• Limit your alcohol intake. Alcohol can increase your risk of breast cancer or cause it to recur in those who have been treated. It's advised to stick to moderate drinking guidelines or abstain from alcohol altogether.
