Tacren 2 Capsule 10 is used to prevent organ rejection in adults who have received a kidney, liver or heart transplant. It is a single-ingredient medicine containing tacrolimus. It is an immunosuppressant belonging to the calcineurin inhibitor class.
Organ rejection occurs when the immune system recognises the transplanted organ as foreign and attacks it. Tacren 2 Capsule 10 is generally used with other immunosuppressive medicines to suppress this immune response and help the transplanted organ continue functioning.
Follow a balanced diet, maintain adequate hydration and attend all scheduled transplant follow-ups and blood tests while taking this medicine.
