Sulbagreat 3 GM Injection 1 comprises two active ingredients:

• Cefotaxime (2000 mg): It is a cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. It attaches itself to and deactivates penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), which are vital for the final stage of constructing bacterial cell walls.
• Sulbactam (1000 mg): It is a beta-lactamase inhibitor, sulbactam irreversibly obstructs most clinically significant beta-lactamases produced by antibiotic-resistant bacteria. By disabling these beta-lactamases, sulbactam safeguards cefotaxime from being broken down and broadens its antibacterial spectrum to encompass many bacteria that produce beta-lactamase.
