Sugaray GM 50/2/1000 Tablet 15 is used for the following:

Sugaray GM 50/2/1000 Tablet 15 contains three active ingredients that work together to control blood sugar levels:

• Glimepiride (2 mg): This is a sulfonylurea that stimulates the pancreas to produce more insulin by binding to receptors on pancreatic beta cells, closing potassium channels and opening calcium channels, which triggers insulin release.

• Sitagliptin (50 mg): This works by inhibiting an enzyme called dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4), which normally breaks down incretin hormones. By preserving these hormones, sitagliptin increases insulin release in a glucose-dependent manner and reduces glucagon secretion from the pancreas.

• Metformin (1000 mg): It activates an enzyme called AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) in the liver, which helps reduce glucose production by the liver, decrease intestinal absorption of glucose, and improve insulin sensitivity in the body.
