Betamethasone (0.05 %) + Gentamicin (0.1 %)

Sternon G Gel 20gm is used for the treatment of inflammatory skin conditions associated with bacterial infections. It is a combination medicine that belongs to the class of topical corticosteroids and antibiotics.

It is also used to relieve redness, swelling, itching, and irritation associated with infected dermatitis, eczema, allergic skin conditions, and other corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses with secondary bacterial infection.

It is important to use this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Before starting Sternon G Gel 20gm, inform your doctor about any pre-existing medical conditions, ongoing medications, or known allergies.

Sternon G Gel 20gm is used for managing the following conditions:

Infected eczema and dermatitis
Steroid-responsive allergic or inflammatory skin conditions with secondary bacterial infection
Inflammatory skin disorders with redness, itching, and swelling
Corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses with secondary bacterial infection

Use Sternon G Gel 20gm exactly as directed by your doctor.
Apply a thin layer to the affected area and gently rub until absorbed.
Wash your hands before and after applying the medicine unless your hands are the treated area.
Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, or open wounds.
Do not cover the treated area with airtight dressings unless advised by your doctor.

Alcohol

Immunosuppressive medicines such as ciclosporin: Prolonged use over large skin areas may theoretically increase the risk of infection or delayed healing.
Topical keratolytic agents such as salicylic acid: Concurrent application may increase skin irritation and enhance absorption of corticosteroids through damaged or inflamed skin.

Skin infections caused by viruses or fungi: Betamethasone may worsen untreated viral or fungal skin infections by suppressing the local immune response.
