It contains a corticosteroid. It works by reducing inflammation and calming the immune response.
Take it exactly as prescribed, usually with food. Do not stop it suddenly after longer use, as the dose usually needs to be reduced gradually.
Tell your doctor about any infection, diabetes, high blood pressure, stomach ulcers or eye problems before use. Avoid contact with people who have chickenpox or measles if you have not had them. Long-term use can affect blood sugar, bone strength, blood pressure and the eyes.
