Amyclox Lb Capsule 10

Amyclox-LB Capsule is used in adults to treat a range of bacterial infections affecting the respiratory tract, skin, urinary tract, teeth, bones and joints.

Uses of Amyclox-LB Capsule are:

• Respiratory Infections: Treats infections such as pneumonia, bronchitis and tonsillitis.
• Skin and Urinary Infections: Treats skin and soft tissue infections, and urinary tract infections such as cystitis.
• Dental and Bone Infections: Treats dental abscesses and bone and joint infections such as osteomyelitis.

To effectively use the Amyclox-LB Capsule, follow these steps:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.
• Avoid breaking or chewing the capsule.
• The medicine can be taken with or without food. If preferred, you can take it one hour before or two hours after meals.
• Stick to regular intervals as prescribed when taking the medication.
• Ensure you complete the full course of capsules even if you feel better midway through to prevent relapse of the infection. For queries regarding your medication regimen, always consult your doctor.

Amyclox-LB Capsule is taken orally.

Amyclox-LB Capsule consists of three active ingredients:

• Amoxicillin (250 mg): This penicillin-type antibiotic inhibits the synthesis of bacterial cell walls by binding to and inactivating penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) on the bacterial cell wall's inner membrane. This process blocks the crosslinkage of peptidoglycan chains which are essential for bacterial cell wall strength and rigidity, causing the bacteria to break down.
• Cloxacillin (250 mg): A penicillin-resistant antibiotic, cloxacillin also inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by targeting PBPs. However, its resistance to the bacterial enzyme penicillinase makes it effective against bacteria like Staphylococcus aureus that are resistant to amoxicillin alone.
• Lactobacillus (60 million spores): As a probiotic bacteria found naturally in the human gut, lactobacillus does not have direct antibacterial action. Instead, it helps restore the normal balance of bacteria in the intestines which can be disrupted by antibiotics, thereby preventing side effects like diarrhoea.

• Store Amyclox-LB Capsule in a cool, dry place where the temperature stays below 25°C.
• Keep the medicine away from direct sunlight and moisture to maintain its efficacy.
• Always keep it out of reach of children for safety reasons.
• Make sure you use the medicine before its expiry date printed on the packaging.

• If you're using Amyclox-LB Capsule for urinary tract infections, drink plenty of water each day. This helps flush bacteria from your system.
• For those with respiratory tract infections, avoid smoking as it can worsen your condition and slow down the healing process.
