Scabvent Lotion is used to treat scabies, a skin infection caused by tiny mites called Sarcoptes scabiei. It kills the mites and their eggs, which cause intense itching and rashes. The lotion helps reduce itching and pimple-like rashes, providing relief and soothing the skin.

To use Scabvent Lotion properly, follow these instructions:

• Ensure your skin is clean and dry before application.
• Apply the lotion from your neck down to the soles of your feet, paying special attention to creases and folds, including areas between fingers and toes, under nails, and on the genitals and buttocks.
• Leave the lotion on your skin for 8-14 hours (usually overnight), then wash it off.
• Consult your doctor for specific advice on usage.

Scabvent Lotion is applied topically.

Scabvent Lotion contains permethrin (5%), which acts on your body in the following ways:

• Disruption of Sodium Channel Currents: Permethrin works by interrupting sodium channel currents in the nerve cell membranes of the mites. This disruption leads to delayed repolarization, which means it takes longer for these nerve cells to reset and be ready for the next signal.
• Paralysis of Mites: The delayed repolarization caused by permethrin results in paralysis of the mites. In simple terms, it stops them from moving or functioning.
• Death of Mites: The ultimate effect of permethrin on mites is their death. This means that it effectively kills off the mites causing your skin condition.
• Eradication of Mite Eggs: Permethrin also targets and eradicates the eggs laid by these mites, reducing their chances to reproduce and worsen your condition.

• Store Scabvent Lotion at a temperature below 25°C.
• Keep the lotion away from light and moisture.
• Do not freeze the lotion.

• Keeping a clean environment can help manage scabies. Regularly clean and vacuum your living space to remove mites and their eggs.
• Washing clothes, bedding, and towels in hot water can kill any mites present, helping control the spread of scabies. After washing, dry them on high heat for optimal results.
