CompositionSALKEM 2.5ML PACK OF 5 RESPULES is a medicine used to relieve sudden tightening of the airways (bronchospasm) in breathing conditions such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It helps ease symptoms such as wheezing, breathlessness, and chest tightness.
It belongs to a group of medicines called short-acting bronchodilators, which work quickly to relax the muscles around the airways so they open up and breathing becomes easier. The liquid is breathed in using a nebuliser, as directed by your doctor. It can also be used to help prevent breathing problems brought on by exercise.
Some general measures can help alongside this medicine. These include quitting smoking, avoiding known triggers where possible, and following any breathing plan your doctor has given you.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any heart problems, an irregular or fast heartbeat, diabetes, or thyroid problems, and any other medicines you take. Tell your doctor if your breathing does not improve or gets worse after using it, or if you notice a fast heartbeat, shakiness, or muscle cramps. Tell your doctor if you need to use it more often than usual, as this may mean your breathing condition needs to be reviewed.
