Rovasday-Ap-20/150 Capsule is used for the following:

• Management of high cholesterol levels
• Reduction of inflammation in cardiovascular diseases
• Prevention of blood clot formation
• Secondary prevention in patients with atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease
• Reducing the risk of future heart attacks, strokes and cardiovascular death in high-risk patients

Follow these instructions while taking Rovasday-Ap-20/150 Capsule:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.
• Do not chew, crush, or open the capsule.
• It's vital to take this medicine at the same time each day to ensure its effectiveness.
• Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Rovasday-Ap-20/150 Capsule is taken orally.

Rovasday-Ap-20/150 Capsule contains two active ingredients:

• Aspirin (150 mg): This component works by permanently blocking an enzyme known as COX-1. As a result, it reduces the production of thromboxane A2, a substance that causes blood platelets to stick together, potentially forming clots. By doing so, aspirin helps prevent blood clot formation that could lead to heart attacks or strokes.
• Rosuvastatin (20 mg): Rosuvastatin is part of a group of medicines called statins. It works by inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase, an enzyme critical to cholesterol production in the body. With less cholesterol being produced, and an increase in LDL receptors, rosuvastatin effectively lowers LDL-C, or "bad" cholesterol levels, total cholesterol and triglycerides while slightly increasing HDL-C or "good" cholesterol levels. This action helps slow down the progression of atherosclerosis (hardening and narrowing of arteries).
