Repatag M 1/500 Tablet is used to help control blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes when repaglinide or metformin alone is not enough. Good control helps reduce the long-term risk of diabetes-related complications such as kidney, nerve and eye damage.
It combines repaglinide (1 mg), a meglitinide that rapidly stimulates insulin release at mealtimes, and metformin (500 mg), which reduces glucose production in the liver and improves the body's response to insulin. Take it before each main meal as prescribed; skip the dose if a meal is missed.
A balanced diet with regular meals, regular activity and routine blood sugar monitoring support better control alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any kidney or liver problems before starting, and about other medicines you take. Learn the signs of low blood sugar and how to treat them, and report frequent episodes.
