Repatag M 1/500 Tablet is used to help control blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes when single medicines are not enough.

Here's how you should take Repatag M 1/500 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Avoid crushing, chewing or breaking it.
• Timing is important. You should take each dose 15-30 minutes before a meal.
• If you miss a meal, skip the dose meant to be taken before that meal.

Repatag M 1/500 Tablet is taken orally.

Repatag M 1/500 Tablet contains the following active ingredients:

• Repaglinide (1 mg): This ingredient belongs to a class of medicines known as meglitinides. Its function is to stimulate the pancreas to secrete more insulin, which aids in reducing the levels of blood glucose. Repaglinide acts on pancreatic beta cells to increase insulin release, particularly in response to meals.
• Metformin (500 mg): Identified as a biguanide, metformin improves insulin sensitivity and decreases the production of glucose in the liver. It reduces sugar absorption from the gut and enhances glucose uptake and use by body tissues. Notably, metformin does not cause hypoglycemia or weight gain.
