Regen D 60 Gel 7.5gm is primarily used to manage diabetic foot ulcers. It is part of a group of medicines known as growth factors and contains becaplermin, which speeds up the healing process by promoting skin regeneration.
Becaplermin works by stimulating the growth of new tissue and blood vessels at the site of the ulcer, which supports the body's natural healing process and helps chronic diabetic foot ulcers close more effectively.
Apply the gel to a clean ulcer as your doctor advises, generally once daily, covering with a moist dressing as directed, and continue treatment alongside standard wound care for the duration prescribed.
This medicine is not suitable for ulcers with signs of cancer, and your doctor will assess the ulcer regularly to monitor healing progress. Tell your doctor if the ulcer does not show signs of improvement within the expected time.
