Reflora-R Sachet is used to treat acute diarrhoea.

Uses of Reflora-R Sachet are:

• Acute Diarrhoea: Helps reduce watery stools and restore gut balance.
• Antibiotic-Related Diarrhoea: Helps with diarrhoea that follows a course of antibiotics.
• Gut Health: Supports digestion and the balance of gut bacteria.

Administer Reflora-R Sachet to your child as follows:

• Pour the contents of one sachet into a glass of water.

• Stir well until the powder is fully dissolved.

• Give your child the prepared solution immediately.

• The medicine can be given either before or after meals.

• It's ideal to administer this medicine along with an Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS).

Reflora-R Sachet is a potent mixture of three active ingredients:

• Saccharomyces boulardii (2.5 billion CFUs): This beneficial probiotic yeast combats diarrhoea-causing pathogens and restores normal gut flora balance. It stimulates intestinal immune defences, neutralises bacterial toxins, and directly inhibits the growth of harmful bacteria and parasites.

• Lactic acid bacillus (100 million CFUs): This beneficial probiotic bacterium is naturally present in the human gut. It helps restore a healthy balance of gut flora, supports digestion and nutrient absorption, fights harmful diarrhoea-causing pathogens and produces lactic acid which inhibits the growth of disease-causing bacteria.

• Racecadotril (10 mg): Racecadotril works as an enkephalinase inhibitor reducing hypersecretion of water and electrolytes into the gut without affecting gut motility. By preventing fluid loss, it reduces stool frequency and duration of diarrhoea in children.

• Keep Reflora-R Sachet in a dry place, away from direct sunlight.

• Maintain a cool storage temperature, not exceeding 25°C.

• Keep the sachet sealed until it's time for use to prevent exposure to air and moisture.

• To assist Reflora-R Sachet in managing your child's diarrhoea, ensure that your child maintains good hydration. This can be achieved by providing them with plenty of fluids such as water, oral rehydration solutions, or clear broths.

• Encourage a diet rich in probiotics and easy-to-digest foods. Foods like yogurt, bananas, rice or mashed potatoes can help restore healthy gut flora and alleviate diarrhoea symptoms.
