Refacold 250/5/2 Mg Suspension 60 Ml is used to relieve the symptoms of the common cold, flu and upper respiratory allergies, including fever, headache, body aches, a runny or blocked nose, sneezing and itchy, watery eyes. It is a combination medicine containing paracetamol (a pain and fever reliever), chlorphenamine (an antihistamine that eases allergy symptoms) and phenylephrine (a decongestant that clears a blocked nose), and belongs to a class of medicines called cold and flu combination medicines.
This medicine works by lowering fever and easing pain, blocking the effects of histamine to reduce sneezing, runny nose and watery eyes, and narrowing the blood vessels in the nose to relieve blockage. Take it as prescribed by your doctor, for the shortest time needed, measuring the dose carefully.
Drinking plenty of fluids and getting enough rest can help your recovery from a cold or flu alongside this medicine. It may cause drowsiness, so take care with driving or using machinery.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have high blood pressure, heart, thyroid or breathing problems, or take any other medicines. Do not take other paracetamol-containing products at the same time, and do not give this combination to children under 4 years unless their doctor advises it.
