Rabsig-DSR Capsule is used to manage a variety of conditions, including:

• Gastroesophageal reflux disease, a condition where stomach acid frequently flows back into the tube connecting your mouth and stomach causing irritation

• Heartburn, a burning discomfort felt in the chest, often after eating

• Acid regurgitation, where acid from your stomach comes back up into your oesophagus and even your mouth

• Peptic ulcer disease, a condition where painful sores develop on the lining of the stomach or upper small intestine

• Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, a rare condition where one or more tumours form in your pancreas or the upper part of your small intestine causing overproduction of acid.

You should take Rabsig-DSR Capsule as per the following recommendations:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.

• You should avoid crushing or chewing the capsule.

• The capsule must be taken at least 30 minutes before a meal.

• Ensure you follow these instructions unless otherwise advised by your doctor.

• Don't stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Rabsig-DSR Capsule is taken orally.

Rabsig-DSR Capsule contains two active ingredients:

• Domperidone (30 mg): This ingredient works as an antiemetic and prokinetic agent. It blocks dopamine receptors in the digestive system, reducing nausea and vomiting. Furthermore, it enhances gastrointestinal motility by increasing the contractions of the stomach and intestines which helps prevent acid reflux.

• Rabeprazole (20 mg): As part of a class of medicines known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs), rabeprazole works by blocking proton pumps in the stomach responsible for acid secretion. By reducing stomach acid production, it helps manage symptoms of GERD and allows the esophagus to heal.

• Keep Rabsig-DSR Capsule in a cool and dry place, ideally at room temperature.

• Avoid exposing the medicine to direct sunlight.

• Ensure the medicine is stored in a place where children cannot access it.

• Always check the expiry date and use the medicine before it expires.

• If you're taking Rabsig-DSR Capsule for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), try to limit foods that can trigger heartburn, such as spicy or fatty foods, chocolate, caffeine, and alcohol.

• Regular exercise can help improve digestion and reduce symptoms of GERD. Try to incorporate moderate physical activity into your daily routine, but avoid exercising immediately after meals as it may increase heartburn.
