Polydex 1/0.1 % Eye/Ear Drops 5 Ml

POLYDEX 1/0.1 % EYE/EAR DROPS 5 ML is used for:

• Bacterial eye infections such as conjunctivitis and blepharitis with inflammation.
• External ear infections caused by susceptible bacteria.
• Postoperative inflammation with risk of infection.
• Inflammatory conditions of the eye or ear where antibacterial therapy is required.

• Wash your hands thoroughly before and after use.
• Tilt your head back for eye use or sideways for ear use.
• Gently pull down the lower eyelid or ear lobe as appropriate.
• Instil the prescribed number of drops without touching the dropper tip to any surface
• Close the eye gently for a few minutes.
• If instilling in ear, remain in that position for a few minutes.
• If using multiple preparations, maintain an interval of at least 5 minutes between instillations.

POLYDEX 1/0.1 % EYE/EAR DROPS 5 ML is intended for topical use in the eyes and ears only.

POLYDEX 1/0.1 % EYE/EAR DROPS 5 ML contains the following active components:

• Chloramphenicol (1%): It is a broad-spectrum antibacterial agent that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, preventing bacterial growth and replication. It is effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms.
• Dexamethasone (0.1%): It is a potent corticosteroid that suppresses inflammatory mediators, reduces capillary permeability, and inhibits immune responses, thereby decreasing redness, swelling, and irritation.

• Store at room temperature below 25°C.
• Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.
• Protect from light and heat.
• Do not freeze.
• Keep out of sight and reach of children.

• Maintain proper eye and ear hygiene.
• Avoid touching or rubbing the affected area.
• Avoid wearing contact lenses during treatment unless advised by a doctor. 
• Protect eyes from dust, smoke, and allergens.
• Follow a balanced diet rich in vitamins to support healing.
