Plux Af 20mg Tablet 10 contains piroxicam and is used only for symptomatic relief of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis or ankylosing spondylitis when other NSAIDs are unsuitable. It is not a first-line choice for acute pain or menstrual cramps because of its safety profile.
It contains piroxicam, which works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes to reduce the production of prostaglandins responsible for pain and inflammation. Take the tablet with or after food with a full glass of water to reduce the likelihood of stomach irritation. Take it as prescribed at the lowest effective dose for the recommended duration.
Lifestyle support plays a valuable role in joint health and pain management. Engage in low-impact gentle exercise like swimming or walking as recommended, maintain a healthy body weight to lighten joint stress, apply warm or cold compresses as appropriate, and ensure adequate physical rest.
Before starting this medicine, inform your doctor if you have a history of stomach ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, asthma, high blood pressure, heart failure, or kidney or liver disease. It is not recommended during late pregnancy. Contact your healthcare provider immediately if you notice severe stomach pain, black tarry stools, short breath, or skin rash.
