CompositionPicolax Syrup is used for the short-term relief of constipation and to clear the bowel before certain medical procedures such as a colonoscopy or surgery.
It contains sodium picosulfate, a stimulant laxative. It works by increasing the movement of the bowel, which helps produce a bowel movement.
Take it as prescribed, and drink plenty of fluids, as it works by stimulating the bowel and can cause fluid loss.
Do not use it for long periods without advice. Tell your doctor about any bowel conditions before use. Report severe stomach pain, marked dizziness or signs of dehydration.
