Permom Lotion is used for the following:

• Management of scabies infestations: Scabies is a skin condition caused by tiny mites that burrow into the skin, causing severe itching and a pimple-like rash.

Here's how you should use Permom Lotion:

• Ensure your skin is clean and dry before application.

• Apply a thin layer of the lotion on your entire body from the neck down, making sure it gets under your fingernails.

• Pay special attention to skin folds, creases, and between your fingers and toes.

• Leave it on your skin for 8-14 hours, such as overnight, before washing it off.

• Remember, this medicine is meant for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes, nose, and mouth.

Permom Lotion contains permethrin (5%), which acts on your body in the following ways:

• Disrupts Mite Nerve Cell Membranes: Permethrin works by altering sodium channel currents in the nerve cell membranes of scabies mites. Increasing the permeability of the nerve cell membrane to sodium, delays nerve repolarisation, resulting in paralysis and death of the mites.

• Remains Effective After Rinse: Even after you wash off Permom Lotion, permethrin continues to work as it binds residually to your skin.
