Pantoxis D Capsule 10 interacts with the following medicines:

• CYP3A4 inhibitors: These can raise domperidone levels, amplifying its side effects. This class encompasses a variety of medications, including antihypertensives like verapamil and diltiazem; antibiotics like clarithromycin and erythromycin; and anticancer medications like tamoxifen and irinotecan.
• Medicines requiring an acidic gastric environment: Pantoprazole reduces acid secretion in the stomach, potentially impairing the absorption and efficacy of medicines including antifungal medicines like ketoconazole, iron salts like ferric pyrophosphate, and cardiac glycosides like digoxin.

Pantoxis D Capsule 10 has interactions with some foods:

• High-fat meals: They can slow down the absorption of domperidone, reducing its effectiveness.

Pantoxis D Capsule 10 interacts with the following diseases:

• Liver disease: Both domperidone and pantoprazole are extensively metabolised in the liver. Patients with severe liver dysfunction may require a dose adjustment.
• Hypomagnesemia: Long-term use of pantoprazole can lead to low magnesium levels. Regular monitoring of serum magnesium levels is recommended for these patients.
• Arrhythmic conditions: Domperidone may prolong the QT interval, increasing the risk of serious cardiac arrhythmias. It's not recommended for patients with prolonged QT syndrome or significant electrolyte disturbances.

The daily dose of Pantoxis D Capsule 10 should be followed as prescribed by your doctor. Your dosage is based on the severity of your condition and how you respond to the medicine. It's crucial to stick to the prescribed dosage and not alter it.
