P-Cool Cream is used for managing the following conditions:

• Soothing discomfort associated with haemorrhoids (piles)

• Relief from pain due to anal fissures

• Easing post-hemorrhoidectomy pain

• Managing minor degrees of proctitis

Apply P-Cool Cream by following these steps:

• Ensure the affected skin area is clean and dry before application.

• Squeeze the prescribed amount of cream onto your fingertips or a clean cotton swab.

• Gently rub the cream onto the skin, covering the entire affected area.

• Repeat this process, depending on your doctor's advice.

• If dealing with internal haemorrhoids, use a clean finger wrapped in cotton bandage or applicator for application. Always wash your hands thoroughly before and after each use.

P-Cool Cream is applied topically.

P-Cool Cream contains three active ingredients that work together to provide relief from anorectal discomfort:

• Lidocaine / Lignocaine (3%): As an amide-type local anaesthetic, lidocaine disrupts pain signalling from the application site by stabilising neuronal membranes and inhibiting the ionic fluxes required for the initiation and conduction of nerve impulses. This provides a numbing effect and relief from pain.

• Phenylephrine (0.1%): Phenylephrine is an alpha-1 adrenergic receptor agonist. When applied topically, it causes localised vasoconstriction or narrowing of blood vessels in the affected area. This reduces inflammation, swelling, and bleeding associated with disorders like haemorrhoids and anal fissures.

• Calamine (5%): This ingredient forms a protective layer on the skin when applied topically. It possesses mild antiseptic properties that help reduce irritation and itching. The astringent action of calamine also helps dry out oozing or weeping caused by inflammation.

• Store P-Cool Cream at room temperature, below 30°C.

• Keep it away from direct heat and moisture to maintain its effectiveness.

• Always ensure the tube is tightly sealed after use.

• Keep this medicine out of reach of children.

• If you're dealing with haemorrhoids or anal fissures, try to incorporate more fibre into your diet. This can help soften your stools and reduce straining during bowel movements.

• Regular, gentle exercise can also help improve your bowel movements and lessen the discomfort associated with anorectal conditions. Walking or swimming are ideal low-impact options.
