Olmevac Act 20/5/12.5 Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Managing high blood pressure

• Reducing the risk of heart attacks and strokes

• Controlling resistant hypertension

• Treating combined systolic and diastolic hypertension

• Managing fluid retention in the body

• Lowering cardiovascular complications in high-risk patients

• Preventing kidney damage caused by high blood pressure

• Supporting patients with congestive heart failure

• Helping manage fluid build-up in liver cirrhosis

• Assisting patients with nephrotic syndrome

Follow these instructions while taking Olmevac Act 20/5/12.5 Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Do not crush, break or chew the tablet.

• Continue taking this medicine regularly, even if you feel well.

• If you have trouble swallowing tablets, consult your doctor.

Olmevac Act 20/5/12.5 Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Olmevac Act 20/5/12.5 Tablet 10 contains three active ingredients:

• Olmesartan medoxomil (20 mg): This component blocks specific receptors called angiotensin II type 1 receptors. By doing so, it prevents blood vessels from narrowing and stops the release of a hormone that increases water retention, leading to lower blood pressure.

• Amlodipine (5 mg): This calcium channel blocker works by relaxing the smooth muscles of your blood vessels. This relaxation causes the vessels to widen, improving blood flow and reducing the resistance to blood movement.

• Chlorthalidone (12.5 mg): As a thiazide-like diuretic, it prevents your kidneys from reabsorbing sodium and chloride. This action increases the amount of water and electrolytes removed from your body through urine, reducing blood volume and pressure.

Olmevac Act 20/5/12.5 Tablet 10 must be stored as instructed below to maintain its efficacy:

• Store Olmevac Act 20/5/12.5 Tablet 10 at room temperature, in a cool, dry place.

• Keep protected from light and moisture.

• Store in the original packaging until ready to use.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the package.

• Reduce your salt intake, as high sodium consumption raises blood pressure. Try flavouring food with herbs and spices instead of salt.

• Maintain a healthy weight through regular physical activity (aim for 30 minutes of moderate exercise most days) to help lower your blood pressure naturally.
