This medication contains Ofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic. It works by inhibiting the enzymes (DNA gyrase) that bacteria need to repair and replicate their genetic material. Without the ability to copy their DNA, the bacteria cannot multiply and eventually die, allowing the body's immune system to clear the remaining infection.
